SCS Day!

Today is obviously about SCS reaching their third year. So we should all take the time to congratulate them. Why? Because 60% of guilds die within their first month, 90% in their first year, and a handful only make it to 2 years! SCS is now 3 years old and has been actively living for all three of them, straight! If you still don’t understand the accomplishment, only 2 other guilds besides SCS now, have made it for 3 straight years. Sure there are a few old guilds being revived again, but being revived and staying alive are clearly not the same thing lol.


So let’s talk about them now (nicely of course)!


Sanouske,
What to say about one of my oldest friends?

He only cares about 3 things on this 3 year celebration probably, what 3 things?! Mrs, SCS, and exp! lol okay so maybe that is not entirely true. He is a high level, has a title, has a turtle, a devil, other various pixels that make people cool(?), his own blog!, adoring fans?!, and of course a really great guild. But he doesn’t let that get to his head like most people would.
Overall he is probably one of the best guild leaders in EO history! He’s not spineless and he doesn’t leave any loopholes in his rules. He is a bit stubborn when it comes to recruiting, but he always has an excuse for why. :P


Agentgirl,
Sano’s right-hand woman?

That alone says a lot about her, but that’s not all she is! She too is a vital part of SCS or else she wouldn’t be the other leader, duh! She doesn’t talk to me that much, that could be a plus in some peoples book? She has stuck with SCS all these years and will probably continue to be there when she can be.

Were you my teacher in 3rd grade?! OMG!!

Okay joking aside, she is a pretty cool lady. She keeps Sano in check of course (way to go!) so maybe she can be credited with Sano’s good behavior?! I can’t really say I know her well, but she is nice and has good manners in this online chaos! Her and Sano are the perfect pair.


Windhood,
I don’t know if he went on vacation again or something… but he WAS on in June and July.

He’s always been a cool guy to hang around and randomly talk about stuff when he’s paying attention… he’s an old school member too! I don’t know if he uses his recruiter abilities or not though. :P

I don’t know anyone that has a problem with him; he’s too cool to be hated! He is another old school key member? Probably! Anyone that knows him knows he’s cool so I don’t have to say much, but those that don’t know him… your loss. :P

She’s just cool!

I haven’t known her long, but she is cool. Or cool is Jenny?! ‘nuff said.

Umm… she’s hard to recognize, she’s a chameleon!

All I can really say about her is that she’s nice and friendly, what else needs to be said really? Everyone wants so much from me, sheesh!

I will try to be unbiased about how awesome she is…

I only need one word to describe my opinion of her, why only one word? You might think that one word sounds boring after I said all that stuff about everyone else. But really, only one word is needed here and that word is, “Amazing”. Everything about her is “Amazing” and she’s all mine! Mwuahahah

He doesn’t talk much…

But when he does he actually says stuff, if you don’t understand what I mean by that… not my problem! :P

She is pretty cool too, I haven’t really talked to her a lot I suppose. But she belongs in SCS for sure!

…Yes? Okay uhh… they are all probably cool, because everyone in SCS is basically awesome. Sano may be slow at recruiting but when he does recruit he finds the best recruits! (Other than my own people of course lol)

Sanouske: Keeping the guild active is the hardest thing to do
Sanouske: EO's bad state doesnt help
Sanouske: Another obstacle... some bad members at the beginning

Sanouske: I learned to be more picky with members

Sanouske: preventing drama from ever entering the guild goes a long way
Sanouske: once a bad member is in, it can be hard to get rid of
Sanouske: by a bad member, I mean someone who doesnt cheat but can cause drama
Sanouske: not so easy to kick those kind of members
Bajz: Drama is poison!
Sanouske: and those members are poison
Sanouske: which is why you have to be careful in the recruitment
Sanouske: thats what I learned
Bajz: But wouldn't lowering your standards help you grow more?
Sanouske: would grow more, making guild chat more active but with drama
Sanouske: SCS has grown in a slow way
Sanouske: grown over time
Sanouske: making sure everyone gets along, meaning no drama

Sanouske: you asked if SCS got off on a rough patch
Sanouske: at first I wasnt so selective with recruitment
Sanouske: I wanted what every other guild leader usually wants
Sanouske: to have a strong guild, a good, nice active guild
Sanouske: but in trying to make it active, I lowered standards

Sanouske: now I learned to focus more on everyone getting along

Sanouske: In an old interview I said.. if you try to be #1 in anything you will end up losing yourself

Sanouske: and no matter if no one else was on, they would stay in SCS with me

I decided to ask every SCS member I could get a hold of a few questions. I told everyone that participated not to tell Sano about this so I could surprise him! After it was said and done though, it’s not that great of a surprise really lol. But anyway, here is what SCS said about SCS!

Bajz:How does it feel to be part of SCS?


Mrshollaway: ok so for me being a part of SCS is one of the most important things in the game since its the one that has helped me hold on in all the chaos that the game has this days
Mrshollaway: what I mean is, that I would be very bored of the game without being a SCSer
Mrshollaway: I dont stand cheaters and I feel they ruing the game and my personal fun... but SCS has returned that to me
Mrshollaway: also, Ive been through alooot in SCS, believe me alot

Mrshollaway: that makes me feel very involved with the guild

Locojoe: A whole mix of feelings, really. I've been with the guild since the beginning, and even BEFORE the beginning.
Locojoe: A sense of pride is there.
Locojoe: Seeing such a prosperous guild grow throughout the years to have it what it is now
Locojoe: One of the very few things in EO that stands for fairness.
Bajz: So you are a proud saint
Locojoe: A very proud saint.
Locojoe: I take a lot of pride in anything that I do. If you do not have honor, then you are nothing.
Locojoe: Just a shell of your former self.


Bajz: What do you like most about SCS?


Locojoe: The fact that even in the current state of EO, our values have never changed.
Locojoe: We stick true to our beliefs of playing the game it was meant to be played. Very few can see this point, which is why we are few in number. But Quality over quantity. That is why bigger guilds like RA has failed.


Bajz: What do you think of Sanouske?


Locojoe: The epitome of a great leader.
Locojoe: Though I might not always agree with what he decides, he knows what is best for his guild.
Locojoe: And I will stick by him until the bitter end.
Locojoe: I've always told our members and him -- "As long as I'm still around, SCS will never die."

Jtheninja: most of the ones i know, are nice people. i cant really relate to what they talk about mostly.

Jtheninja: ihavent seen the memberlist for scs, im not sure if the others i knew are still in it or not

Jtheninja: i left because im older then alot of the members at that time and i couldnt really relate to them and also im not a 'saint' lol

Dizney: Sano is a great friend to many people He is always honest, fair, and is a good listener who is always willing to give you his opinion.

Dizney: I wish more people were like Sano. EO would be a much better place.

Dizney: I know many members of SCS They are all friendly and have the same values that Sano does--fair playing and abiding by the rules

Dizney: Everyone I have met in SCS is like a friend to me. I have them either on msn, myspace or facebook, or and friends list! lol

Dizney: I team with many of them and I'm always happy when I see them on.
Dizney: I appreciate the fact that they have the same values that MNR does: fair playing, and does not allow cheats.
